Job Title:
Laboratory Decontamination Specialist I
General Position Description:
Laboratory Decontamination Specialists at Spotlight Safety work closely with Safety Consultants and Laboratory Operations Specialists to provide clients with laboratory decontamination services as part of lab facility relocation, shutdown, or sublease.
This position requires employees to leverage existing knowledge of cleaning and decontamination procedures to efficiently complete tasks and meet client needs.
This is a part-time, as-needed, project-based position. The hourly rate range is $25.00-30.00 per hour depending on experience.
Location:
Onsite at client locations often in the Boston/Cambridge area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite laboratory decontamination and cleaning services
- Follow Spotlight Safety policies and procedures
- Post appropriate signage following the completion of decontamination
- Properly manage clean products and supplies
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the field of cleaning or decontamination
- Previous work experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and patience
- Punctuality and efficiency
- Versatility and adaptability in a variable work environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Equipment:
- Personal vehicle with the ability to travel to clients located throughout the Greater Boston area on a project basis (monthly travel stipend provided)
