Speaker Bio
Kristin Garland, CIH has been providing safety consulting services for over 20 years. After obtaining her B.S. in biotechnology from WPI, she spent 7 years working in development research at the Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, ME and Curis, Inc. (FKA Ontogeny) in Cambridge, MA where she developed a deep understanding of the biotechnology industry. Kristin leveraged this knowledge and provided safety consulting services to local companies in the biotech space while becoming certified as an industrial hygienist (CIH) during this time. To broaden her industry knowledge, she took a position with Liberty Mutual Insurance Risk Control Services as a consulting industrial hygienist. The three years spent in the insurance industry included work in manufacturing, banking, construction, and defense. Kristin has now brought this experience to Spotlight Solutions as the vice president of industrial hygiene.
